Wind the Wire at Pipestone Creek

Volunteers removing wire fencing.

Pipestone Creek Conservation Land overlooks the meandering Pipestone Creek as well as an oxbow lake. This land supports moose, deer, and many other types of wildlife, and is well frequented by visitors who enjoy the peaceful scenery. It is also an excellent land for birders, as it supports a wide diversity of feathered inhabitants.

There are some old remnants of barbed wire and scrap metal that have become entwined into the surrounding ground and vegetation, posing a risk to wildlife and human visitors alike. At this event, we will be removing the wire and scrap metal from the land.

We will meet at Pipestone Creek at 10:00 AM, and leave the site by 2:30 PM at the latest.
