RESCHEDULED - Burdock at Glory Hills

*Please note new date.

Glory Hills Conservation Lands are full of life - our wildlife cameras capture images of fox, skunks, moose, and fishers there, and visitors hike, ski, and snowshoe all over this 110-acre paradise. Between the work of our Conservation Land Stewards and several visits from goats (over 700 of them!), Glory Hills has seen a massive decrease in the number of invasive plants at this stunning land. However, there is a patch of invasive burdock that the goats were not able to eat. We will remove it at this event to prevent it from spreading and to prevent the harmful burs from getting stuck on wildlife.

We will meet at Glory Hills at 9 am, and leave the site by 3:00 pm. Wear appropriate footwear and long pants, and bring a lunch, water, hat, sunscreen/bugspray, and a camera or binoculars if you'd like. If you have your own gardening tools and gloves to bring we recommend that you do so, but otherwise tools and gloves will be provided. Additional information will be sent to you several days in advance of the event.

Stewardship events are weather-dependent and subject to cancellation.
