Bird Bingo

Grab your family and venture outside for a nature walk and some Bird Bingo! See how many different birds you can see and use your binoculars and Bird ID book to identify them!

This activity is best done in the spring and summer time, as many of our native species migrate south in the winter. Looking for a great bird watching spot? EALT Conservation Lands can be a great option, as many have trail systems to explore and some even have self-guided tour guide materials.

Ask Yourself

  • What habitats did you find the most birds in?

  • What colour were most of the birds you saw? Why do you think they are this colour?

  • Did you see one type of bird multiple times? Which one(s)?

  • Which birds were hard to tell apart? How did you figure out which one was which?
