Trim the Trails at Glory Hills

Glory Hills Conservation Lands are a haven for wildlife just west of the City of Edmonton. A lake, forest, and meadows support deer, moose, and birds of all kinds. Here, a steep trail along the border of the land is grown in and in need of maintenance. Volunteers will help us cut and saw some trees and shrubs that have begun to grow into the trail. While we are here, we will also install additional fence reflectors to increase the visibility of our remaining barbed wire fences for wildlife. We expect to walk on some moderately steep slopes and possibly in areas with long grass and saturated ground.

We will meet at Glory Hills Conservation Lands promptly at 9:30 AM, and leave the site by 2:00 PM. Wear appropriate footwear and long pants, and bring a lunch, water, hat, sunscreen, and a camera or binoculars if you'd like. If you have your own gloves to bring we recommend that you do so, but otherwise tools and gloves will be provided. Additional information will be sent to you several days in advance of the event.
