Beat the Burdock at Glory Hills

Glory Hills Conservation Land is a haven for wildlife just west of the City of Edmonton. A lake, forest, and meadows support deer, moose, and birds of all kinds. Between the work of our Conservation Land Stewards and several visits from goats (over 700 of them!), Glory Hills has seen a massive decrease in the number of invasive plants at this stunning land. However, there is a huge patch of invasive woolly burdock that the goats are not able to safely eat. We will remove it at this event while it is still young and easier to pull from the ground.

We will meet at Glory Hills Conservation Lands promptly at 9:30 AM, and leave the site by 2:30 PM. Wear appropriate footwear and long pants, and bring a lunch, water, and a camera or binoculars if you'd like. If you have your own gloves to bring we recommend that you do so, but otherwise tools and gloves will be provided. Additional information will be sent to you several days in advance of the event.
