Just west of Edmonton, Glory Hills - maskihkîy meskanaw is a refuge for wildlife. A lake, forest, and meadows support deer, moose, and many bird species. Due to this avian diversity, EALT maintains 35 nest boxes at this land, and these nest boxes require cleaning each year in order to keep them fit for occupancy in the year to come.
This event will be focusing on cleaning out these nest boxes so that next year’s occupants have a clean home to return or move in to. This will involve opening nest boxes, cleaning out whatever’s inside, sanitizing the box, and sometimes putting in new nesting material.
We will meet promptly at 9:30 am at the land.
