Join us at Larch Sanctuary for an exciting day of improving the natural area!
We will work to remove some of the invasive plants along the trails and other areas. Invasive weeds we pull may include Leafy Spurge and Common Tansy. Invasive weeds are classified as such because they push out native species and disrupt the functioning of ecosystems, and with 12 conservation lands to steward, weeding is our biggest challenge. With constant effort we can push back invasive weeds and give native plants a chance to thrive. This is a great opportunity to contribute to local nature conservation!
Wear sturdy shoes and comfortable clothes, and bring a lunch, water, sunscreen/bugspray, and a camera or binoculars if you'd like. Tools, gloves and extra snacks will be provided. Additional information will be sent to you several days in advance of the event.
