Give the Gift of Nature

With the new year just over a month away, we have begun to think ahead to new opportunities for growth. Growing our network of natural areas in Edmonton and area is a key part of our work here at EALT, and we need your help to secure new land for conservation. New conservation lands mean more habitat protected for wildlife, more spaces for people to connect with nature, and greater protection against the effects of climate change. It means new spaces set aside for future generations of people and wildlife, protected in perpetuity. Read more about the many benefits of protected natural areas here.

Thanks to the kind generosity of a new donor, we are inching closer to our goal of securing new land.

Give the gift of nature this holiday season and donate to the Edmonton and Area Land Trust Capital Fund. The EALT Capital Fund specifically supports land securement and, combined with our new donor’s capital fund, can make a future new securement a real possibility.

Help us double the EALT Capital Fund to reach $100,000.

Your donation will be made to the Edmonton Community Foundation, where our capital and endowment funds are held.

  • Donate online here. Your donation will be processed by CanadaHelps, and you’ll receive a tax receipt by email shortly after.

  • Donate by mail. Send your cheque to Edmonton Community Foundation, 9910 103 Street, Edmonton AB, T5K 2V7. Write “EALT Capital Fund” on the memo line or include a note. Gifts mailed with a Canada Post date stamp of 2021 on the envelope can ensure you receive a 2021 donation receipt.

If you are considering making a gift-in-kind, like publicly traded securities (shares or mutual funds), please contact us right away. We will work with you and ECF to ensure your gift-in-kind to our Capital Fund will be processed on time.

Thank you for helping us get closer to our goal of a new conservation land. Conservation truly is a community effort!
