Why: The Edmonton and Area Land Trust, in collaboration with the City of Edmonton, is celebrating 10 years of nature conservation in the Edmonton region with a Gala event.

Visit with representatives of the nine municipalities in which EALT works, dignitaries, fellow EALT supporters, and special feathered guests. View EALT displays and information while nibbling on tasty hors d'oeuvres. Enjoy the formal program to hear an exciting announcement!

Pamela Wight, EALT’s Executive Director, will share comments, as well as several local dignitaries:

  • The Hon. Shannon Phillips – Minister of Environment and Parks, and Minister Responsible for the Climate Change Office

  • Michael Walters – City Councillor, Ward 10, City of Edmonton

  • Billy Morin – Chief, Enoch Cree Nation

  • Michael Phair – Chair, University of Alberta Board of Governors

John Acorn, BSc, MSc, a professor in the Faculty of Agricultural Life and Environmental Sciences at the University of Alberta, will deliver the keynote address. An internationally renowned biologist, best-selling author and former TV personality, Mr. Acorn is a research associate at the Royal Tyrrell Museum.
