Winter Walk at Lu Carbyn Nature Sanctuary

The Lu Carbyn Nature Sanctuary is the furthest west of EALT’s protected areas, and it is reminiscent of the boreal forest. We hope to open this stunning Conservation Land to the public in 2019, but until then it is only accessible by guided tour. Join us to visit the Lu Carbyn Nature Sanctuary in the depths of winter and enjoy a lovely walk while searching for wildlife. We will combine a pleasant walk/snowshoe with a survey for animals and animal tracks.

We will meet at 9:00 am and carpool to the site, getting back around 4-5 pm. Wear warm winter boots and layers of warm comfortable winter clothes, and bring a lunch, water, and a camera or binoculars if you'd like. Snowshoes may be needed for this event. If you don't have your own, you can rent snowshoes from several outdoor sport outfitters, such as MEC and Totem Outfitters. Additional information will be sent to you several days in advance of the event.

This event is full, thank you!
