Land Acquisition
Land trusts accept donations of land and property.
The Edmonton & Area Land Trust is particularly interested in lands with exceptional ecological value to ensure that they are protected forever. These properties may contain sensitive or endangered ecosystems or species, or those that enhance or link existing protected areas.
However, we will also consider other lands, which may be traded, mortgaged, or sold so as to acquire more ecologically significant lands.
When significant properties become available for purchase, we will carefully consider their ecological and community values, and their connection to other natural areas.
EALT is prepared to partner with others to acquire and steward ecologically significant lands.
